Blog Post #4

As you can see below the brassica crop failed to grow. This may be no big deal for a small project but as farmers lose crops and can't afford to continue growing.

This can cause a famine so thanks to biodiversity we see a difference in how our crops grow. From our brassica plant we can see that its parent come from the mustard family. And now this seed will pass in its genetics with chromosomes that hold the alleles. And though the offspring gets copies of the chromosomes from one parent  it will look different because of the the other parent's alleles. The reason why landrace and farm grown brassica look so different is because farmers select the alleles so it's not natural selection like in the wild.
